About your role
This role is designed for a motivated individual who wants to launch a career in Service Management. Instead of looking for past office experience, we are looking for curiosity, problem-solving potential, and a drive to learn. You will train towards a nationally recognised qualification while supporting our team with client projects, team activities and business operation opportunities.
What you will be doing (core responsibilities)
Service Delivery
Support the Service Manager in coordinating daily service activities and ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required standard.
Assist with allocating work, monitoring workloads, and following up on service requests or operational issues.
Help maintain accurate service records, schedules, reports, and documentation.
Identify routine issues affecting service delivery and escalate them appropriately.
Customer and Stakeholder Support
Act as a professional first point of contact for customers, service users, colleagues, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Respond to enquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and courteously, referring complex matters to the appropriate manager.
Support activities designed to improve customer satisfaction and service quality.
Help gather and analyse feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
Team Coordination
Provide administrative and practical support to the service team.
Assist with arranging team meetings, preparing agendas, recording actions, and monitoring progress.
Promote positive working relationships, inclusion, and effective teamwork.
Performance, Quality, and Improvement
Assist in monitoring key performance indicators, service standards, and operational SLA/KPI targets.
Help prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for management meetings.
Contribute ideas for improving processes, efficiency, customer experience, and ways of working.
What we are looking for
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Good organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks.
A professional, customer-focused approach.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive working relationships.
Willingness to learn, take responsibility, and develop leadership skills.
Good attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Confidence using standard IT systems, including email, word processing, spreadsheets, and collaboration tools.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
What you will learn and do
Grow your communication skills, learn how to handle internal and external enquiries via email, phone, and in-person with guidance from mentors.
Complete all required apprenticeship learning, coursework, assessments, and workplace projects within agreed timescales.
Attend training sessions, reviews, and progress meetings.
Actively seek feedback and apply learning to improve performance and professional practice.
What you will bring to the role
Growth mindset: an enthusiasm for learning new concepts and a willingness to act on constructive feedback.
Collaboration: a positive team player who listens well and supports colleagues.
Problem-solving attitude: enjoys figuring things out and asking questions when stuck, rather than waiting for instructions.
Curious mindset: willingness to share new idea.
Qualifications:
3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above) or functional english and maths (or a willingness to work towards them with our support)
Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
