We help public and private organisations deliver end-to-end transformation from strategic consulting to the design, deployment and 24/7 operation of secure digital platforms. With expertise across Microsoft, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Pega, SAP, AWS and Google, alongside strong in-house software development capabilities, we help organisations build scalable, resilient and AI enabled businesses. Our expertise spans transport and mobility, banking and insurance, public sector, healthcare, energy, defence, luxury and retail.
About your role
You will be working in Magellan Transport & Mobility, with a focus on the delivery of our services and projects to Network Rail and Rail Delivery Group, both of which will be merged into Great British Railways in 2027. This entry-level role is perfect if you want to build a career in business analysis, working with the team as we continuously improve our products and services to our customers. You will work as an integral part of our agile teams as we enhance existing and develop new services for our customers.
What you will be doing (core responsibilities)
Customer change requests. Working collaboratively with our customers to understand their needs and develop system and service enhancements as appropriate.
Internal investments. Developing new or enhanced products and services and the benefits they will bring to our customers’ businesses.
AI. Using our range of AI tools, and our strategic relationship with Google, develop our solutions.
Documentation. Documenting the resulting business analysis for internal use and in response to customer change requests.
What you will learn and do
Grow your communication skills: learn how to handle internal and external enquiries via email, phone, and in-person with guidance from mentors.
Develop capabilities: support the team in scheduling meetings, managing records, and updating project/team documents.
Engage in continuous learning: dedicate 20% of your working hours to structured training, assignments, and skills development with your training provider.
Solve problems: take on tasks that grow in complexity as your confidence and capability increase throughout the apprenticeship.
What you will bring to the role
Growth mindset: an enthusiasm for learning new concepts and a willingness to act on constructive feedback.
Collaboration: a positive team player who listens well and supports colleagues.
Problem solving attitude: enjoys figuring things out and asking questions when stuck, rather than waiting for instructions.
Curious mindset: willingness to share new ideas
Qualifications or your experience requirements:
A Level 3 qualification plus 12+ months of work experience
Or a business-related degree (e.g. business, finance, economics, maths)

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
